I live in a 40 year old house, and I don't think the front door has ever been replaced. You can see the scars and bruses among its wooden pattern. It doesn't have automatic locking mechanism. Everytime we leave the house, I would see my mom fumbling around in her purse trying to find the key. Other times, I find myself being locked out of the house by my sister. Is there a simple solution without spending hundreds of dollars on a new lock? Today, I am going to show you how I made a passcode enabled lock that can last for years on just 4 AA batteries.
